Saké Restaurant & Bar, has gone from strength to strength in just 3 short years since opening and Starlight is proud to welcome their head chef, Shinichi Maeda, back for another year. 

Winner of the 2012 Australian Restaurant and Catering Award for Best Asian Restaurant,  the Australian Good Food Guide, One Hat 2013 and 2014, Gourmet Traveller Wine list of the year awards, 2 Goblets in 2013 and Restaurant & Caterers best Asian restaurant for Brisbane and Darling Downs 2013, the Saké team are very community minded and are thrilled to be part of the 2014 Starlight Five Chefs Dinner event.

As head chef of Brisbane’s most unique Japanese dining experience, Shinichi’s goal is to use local produce, often visiting suppliers, including joining fishing trips himself to source the best catch for his diners, vegetable farmers and markets. He works closely with Saké group Executive Chef, Shaun Presland, to ensure that the menu stays true to the Saké style but with an obvious Queensland flavour.
