With Pepe Cucina at Burnside, Salvatore Pepe is one Adelaide’s enduring, high-profile chefs.

Calabrian born and Tuscany trained, Salvatore came to Australia at 26 years of age but maintains close ties with his Italian heritage.

As one of the team behind the iconic Cibo Ristorante on O’Connell street, Pepe took Italian cuisine to fine-dining standards while maintaining the familiarity and flavours of the Italian experience. Pepe’s cooking cemented Cibo as the Adelaide restaurant to be seen for almost a decade.

Pepe has authored a successful cook-book, escorted bespoke culinary tours, is in demand as a speaker and presenter – and accepts the occasional celebrity catering request.

Last year, to the delight of those who missed his cooking and a new audience of foodies, Pepe made the decision to return to the kitchen. Pepe Cucina opened at Burnside in March 2016.
