Chef Patrice Falantin from Sofitel Brisbane Central joins the Queensland Starlight Five Chefs Dinner lineup for the 14th year. In previous years, Patrice has dazzled Five Chefs Dinner guests with his spectacular dessert courses.
A graduate of the Lycée de Hôtelier de Toulouse in France, prior to migrating to Australia, Patrice worked as an instructor at Cooking School France in Paris and was the Private Chef for a French Government Minister. After working in the United Kingdom at Harrods London and the exclusive Hyde Park Regent, Patrice moved to Sydney to work at the Four Seasons Hotel for more than five years.
Prior to moving to Brisbane, Patrice was the General Manager and Executive Chef at the award winning Hawkesbury River Resort Loxley on Bellbird Hill in New South Wales and Executive Chef at the Acqua Viva Function Centre in Perth, Western Australia.
Patrice is currently the Executive Chef at Sofitel Brisbane Central where he oversees the operations of five food and beverage outlets including the renown Privé249, Thyme² Restaurant and the catering for the hotel’s conference and events. Over the 8 years that Patrice has been a part of the Sofitel team he has shown his passion to this fascinating industry.
