Argentinian born chef, Alejandro Cancino, has captured us with his dynamic and internationally trained palate.  Alejandro has worked in the world’s fourth ranked restaurant, Mugaritz in Spain, in addition to winning Young Chef of the Year in the U.K. in 2008.

During Alejandro’s tenure at Bulgari Hotels, Tokyo they won a Michelin Star.  Then, Urbane Brisbane called seeking a new Executive Chef, both for Urbane and The Euro.  

Alejandro has put all his experience and natural talent to excellent use and was honoured by Australian Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Awards for Best New Talent, in addition to being named Chef of the Year 2013 by The Good Food Guide.  Alejandro is also highly regarded within the vegan community.  As a young, enterprising chef, Alejandro Cancino loves doing things differently and is currently involved in local projects with the Urbane Group which have highlighted them as being advocates of minimising all waste, always using local QLD products and artisans, using sustainable methods and produce, as well as the restaurant being known for using organic and fair-trade products.
Alejandro is set to take Urbane and The Euro to the next stage of dining by being at the forefront of innovation.
