Working in Spain Frank was inspired by both the modern and traditional aspects of Spanish cuisine as well as the dynamic tapas culture, which he thought would translate well to Melbourne’s vibrant CBD. An award-winning author of four cookbooks, Frank now enjoys regular media appearances including MasterChef, SBS’ Food Safari and Rick Stein’s Food of Spain. He has a weekly column in Spectrum in the Sydney Morning Herald and the Age in Melbourne, and is a featured chef on the Good Food website.
Frank has made international appearances at cooking promotions in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Jakarta and Abu Dhabi. In Australia, Frank appears regularly at the Melbourne International Food and Wine Festival, Crave Sydney International Food Festival, the Noosa International Food and Wine Festival, the Adelaide Food and Wine Festival, and the Brisbane Good Food and Wine Show. In addition Frank makes regular appearances at numerous private events for hotels and resorts as well as conducting cooking demonstrations throughout the country.
Originating in Melbourne, MoVida has grown into a dynamic group of restaurants consisting of MoVida, MoVida Next Door, MoVida Aqui, Paco’s Taco’s and with Bar Pulpo at Melbourne International Airport.
Following great success, Frank and MoVida have hit the ground running with MoVida Sydney in vibrant Surry Hills and MoVida @ the Airport, T2 Sydney Domestic.
