Dany Angove, Head Chef at the famous Margaret River winery, Leeuwin Estate, is one of Australia’s most acclaimed chefs. Respected internationally, he has cooked for stars Jerry Hall, Bob Geldof and Carol King to name a few. In 2013 The Daily Meal.com recognizes his talents awarding his menu the 4th Best Winery Restaurant in the World.
A serious foodie, his passion was ignited as a boy on a trip to Greece and spans a 27 year long career.
Living in Margaret River, he advocates his ‘paddock to plate’ philosophy and boasts of the produce from his foodie playground. Initially welcomed as Head Chef of VAT107, he now shares the stage with the world’s best chefs, food and wine critics at the international food and wine festival, Margaret River Gourmet Escape.
In Dany’s kitchen there is a plaque saying “If you do what you love you will never work a day in your life” and he most definitely is this statement personified.
